About LifeLensAR
LifeLensAR is a pioneering healthcare technology company dedicated to revolutionizing the way healthcare providers interact with electronic medical records (EMR). Our mission is to enhance patient care by providing intuitive, hands-free/held solutions that streamline workflows, reduce documentation burden, and empower clinicians with real-time insights for more informed decision-making.
Our Journey
The Beginning
In January 2024, LifeLensAR started as a capstone project for 6 informatics students at the University of Washington, spearheaded and sponsored by Chandler Lewis, an advisor in the UW CoMotion/National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Site Program.
Ideation and Research
The UW team collaborated to create the first prototype of our AR-enabled documentation system on the Digilens Argo. They shadowed nurses at a local skilled nursing facility, Bainbridge Island Health and Rehab, and rapidly developed and tested a prototype solution to suit nurses documentation workflows. 3/4 nurses wanted it in it's current state.
Company Founded
In July 2024, LifeLensAR LLC was founded and the team partnered with RealWear to bring voice2chart to life on their industry-leading wearable headset in addition to mobile devices and tablets. A professional team coallesced in September, shadowed nearby skilled nursing facility staff, and developed wearable and tablet prototypes of voice2chart, prior to a 17-long business discovery trip to Brazil.
Partnerships and Early Wins
Continuous feedback from healthcare providers helped us develop more intuitive and comprehensive features into our tablet and wearable prototypes. Growing demand led to partnerships with leading healthcare institutions across the US and Latin America.
Future Innovation
We continue to push boundaries, integrating advanced AI and expanding our platform's capabilities.
